Drive Belt: Testing and Inspection

If ribbed belt drive noise as listed in the table above is noted:

-

Reproduce cause for complaint in shop.

Remove ribbed belt and run engine without belt.
-

If the noise is still present, it is not caused by the ribbed belt.

If the noise is no longer present, determine the cause of the noise according to the table of malfunctions below.
