Wheel Bearing Housing: Service and Repair

NOTE:  For additional information, refer to suspension component locations. See: Locations 

REMOVAL 

1. Remove wheel trim.

On light alloy wheels, use special tool 3208 to remove cap.

2. Unscrew hex collar bolt.

WARNING:  Do not loosen the hex collar bolt unless the car is standing on its wheels, risk of accident. 

3. Remove wheel.
4. Secure brake disc to hub using a wheel bolt.
5. Pull ABS wheel speed sensor cable out of bracket at brake caliper.

6. Unscrew brake caliper -1- and suspend from body with a piece of wire.

NOTE:

Do not loosen brake hose or lines.

Do not allow caliper to hang by brake hose.

7. Remove brake disc.

8. Unbolt splash guard -1-.
9. Pull ABS wheel speed sensor out of swing arm.

10. Loosen nuts -2- and -3-.
