Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Removing and Installing Rotor on Rear Axle
Removing and installing rotor on rear axle
Removing
-
Raise vehicle.

Remove wheel.
-
Remove the brake caliper.

Hang up brake caliper on bodywork.

Inspect rotor for signs of damage or dirt.

If the rotor is damaged, remove the drive axle with rotor and replace the outer joint.

Removing and installing drive axle, Refer to Transmission and Drivetrain
Installing
Install in reverse order.

Route speed sensor cable back in original position, see removal.

Grease the O-ring of the speed sensor all around with lubricating paste G 000 650 before inserting.
Note:

If the rotor is damaged or dirty remove the drive axle. In the event of damage, replace outer CV joint together with rotor.

The outer CV joint is supplied as a replacement part with the rotor.
