Steering Wheel (Multi-function Steering Wheel), Assembly Overview

Torx bolts T30 (2x)
-

Tightening torque: 7 Nm

Removal
-

Remove airbag unit (multi-function steering wheel).

-

Put steering wheel in center position (wheels straight).

-

Remove bolt -6-.

-

Disconnect connector for spiral spring -3-.

-

Disconnect connector for multi-function steering wheel cable -9-.

-

For steering wheel heater: Disconnect connector for steering wheel heater -10-.

-

Remove steering wheel -2-.

-

Installing
-

Installation is the reverse of removal.

-

Make sure connector and securing clip completely engage (audible).

-

Connect voltage supply cable -7- in clip -8-.

-

Attach steering wheel in center position (wheels straight).

-

Replace bolt -4- and tighten to 50 Nm.
