Multi-function Steering Wheel Switches/Buttons, Removing And Installing

Two different multi-function steering wheel versions are possible:

Steering wheel with two multi-function button switch modules - arrows-:

Multi-function button switch modules, removing and installing

Multi-function steering wheel with two multi-function roller switch modules - arrows -:

Multi-function roller switch modules, removing and installing

Multi-function button switch modules, removing and installing

NOTE:  Procedure for left and right switches is the same.

Removing:

-

On vehicles with telematics system, switch off Emergency Battery (Telematics) A16 for Telephone/Telematics Control Module J526

-

Disconnect battery.

CAUTION:  Special safety precautions apply to vehicles equipped with airbags. Heed all WARNINGS pertaining to airbag servicing.

Remove drivers airbag unit.
