Tail Lights, Removing And Installing

Removing

-

Open trunk storage bin on proper side.

NOTE:

-

Better access to the right tail light can be obtained by removing the central locking system pump retaining strap and laying the pump in the trunk.

-

If a CD changer and/or a telephone transmitting/receiving unit is installed in the left storage bin it must be removed.

-

Disconnect harness connector -3-.

-

Remove nuts (4x) (arrows) 4 Nm (35 in. lb).

-

Remove entire light assembly toward outside.

Installing

-

Install in reverse order of removal.

-

Align tail light to adjacent body panels (equal gap clearances) before tightening nuts.

NOTE:  When installing, make sure that the seal between the body and tail light housing is properly installed.
