Parking Brake Cable: Service and Repair
FWD
Parking brake cables (FWD vehicles), removing and installing
Removing:
-
Remove center console extension.
-
Remove wheels.
-
Detach underside panel on left rear and right rear and unclip parking brake cables.
-
Detach underside panel (left-side) - approximately 8 bolts.
-
Detach inner underside panel at exhaust pipe.
-
Detach rear exhaust pipe.
-
Pull out retaining clip - 1 - and unhook parking brake cables at brake caliper.
Note: Do not damage parking brake boot when removing and installing.

Unclip brake line - 2 - from retainer - 3 -.
-
Unclip parking brake cables - 1 - from fuel tank (clip) - 2 -.
