Camshafts, removing and installing 

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required 

Puller T40001

Counter-holder tool 3036

Removing 

Note:

The sealing surfaces of the lower bearing bracket and on upper cylinder head must not be reworked.

The camshaft bearings are integrated into the cylinder head and into the bearing bracket. Before removing the bearing bracket, the toothed belt
must be relieved of tension.

If the bearing bracket was loosened, the camshaft seal and the sealing cap must be replaced.

Remove cylinder head cover

-

Remove camshaft adjuster.

-

Remove toothed belt

-

Loosen camshaft adjuster (use retainer 3036).
