The camshafts must be fixed in place using camshaft locating tool T10252.

-

Place chain onto camshaft adjuster.

Hold camshaft adjuster in front of exhaust camshaft so that the notch - A - and pin - B - are positioned across from one another.

In this position, first place the chain at top - arrow - onto chain sprocket of the intake manifold.

Slowly turn intake camshaft using toothed belt tensioner tool T10020 in direction of - arrow A - until camshaft adjuster fits onto camshaft.

Note:  If the pin does not fit into the notch: Remove the chain and then re-install the chain again.

Tighten bolt of camshaft adjuster to 100 Nm. Do this using socket T40080.
