Moving vehicle to initial position for wheel alignment

Suspension types 1BA, 1BE, 1BR, 1BV, 1BD

Depending on the type of wheel alignment equipment, it may be necessary to raise the front axle of the vehicle in order to insert spacer V.A.G
1925. Bounce suspension after lowering vehicle.

Insert spacer V.A.G 1925 with adapter V.A.G 1925/3 or V.A.G 1925/4 and screw both threaded spindles out...

...until they just come into contact with the front subframe bolts - arrow -.
This must not cause the vehicle to be raised.
The suspension is in the initial position.

Vehicle with sports suspension 1BE, 1BV, 1BD

Position axle lift under front jacking points and raise vehicle.

Install adapter V.A.G 1925/6 onto adapter V.A.G 1925/3 or V.A.G 1925/4 of spacer.

Lower vehicle onto adapters - arrow -.
The suspension is in the initial position.

All suspension versions
In this position, the wheel alignment program checks whether the current toe-in value for each wheel corresponds with the specification. If necessary,
the toe-in must be corrected by adjusting the tie rod length.

The wheel alignment software will only show the relevant display if a correction is required.
