Power Steering Pump: Testing and Inspection

Vehicles with 4-cyl. engines and 6-cyl. diesel engines

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Hose clamps up to 25 mm dia. 3094

^

Power steering tester V.A.G 1402

^

Adapter V.A.G 1402/3

-

Clamp intake and return lines with hose clamps - 3094 -.

-

Remove pressure hose from power steering pump.

-

Screw adapter V.A.G 1402/3 into power steering pump in place of banjo bolt.

-

Connect hose from pressure gauge V.A.G 1402 onto adapter V.A.G 1402/3.

-

Close shut-off valve on pressure gauge (lever pointing to left).

-

Remove hose clamps up to 25 mm dia. 3094.
