Cover and Upholstery, Seat Pan without Seat Cushion Extension

‹› The procedure description is based on a manual or power standard front seat and comfort seat.

Removing

CAUTION!
‹› Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components Safety Precautions ] See:

Restraint Systems/Service Precautions.

‹› Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge

static electricity". This can be done by touching door striker, for example.

Remove front seat:

‹› Manual standard seat => [ Manual Standard Front Seats ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Manual Standard Front Seats.

‹› Power standard seat and Comfort seat => [ Power Standard Front Seats ] See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Power Standard Front Seat with or

without Memory Function See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Power Comfort Front Seat with or without Memory Function.

Attach front seat to Fixture For Seat Repair ( VAS 6136). Refer to => [ Front Seat, Installing on VAS 6136 ] .See: Service and Repair/Removal
and Replacement/Seat Versions Overview

Remove the front seat backrest. Refer to => [ Front Backrest ] See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Manual Standard Front Seats/Front Backrest.

Remove the sill side trim retaining bracket.

With LATCH child seat anchorages (passenger seat only): Remove the LATCH child seat anchorage. Refer to => [ Front LATCH Child Seat

Disengage the front and side areas - A - and -  B - of the cover retaining channel - 3 -.
