Parking Brake Control Module: Service and Repair

Electro-Mechanical Parking Brake Control Module

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1410)

Removing

-

Fold up the right rear side trim in the luggage compartment => Body Interior 70 Removal and Installation.

A trailer mode control module may be installed depending on the model. The trailer mode control module and the bracket for the module must be
removed before removing the electronic parking brake control module.

-

Remove nuts.

-

Slide electrical connector lock - 2 - forward.

-

Remove electronic parking brake control module - 1 - with the plug connector.

-

Remove electrical connector from control module.

-

Remove control module from vehicle.

Installing

-

Connect electrical connector - 2 - on control module.
