‹› Silicone sealant.

‹› Note the expiration date of the silicone sealant.

‹› The oil pan (upper section) must be installed within 5 minutes after application of silicone sealant.

‹› Replace bolts which have been tightened to torque.

‹› Replace sealing rings, seals and self-locking nuts.

Remove sealant residue from engine block with a flat scraper.

CAUTION!
Risk of eye injury.

‹› Wear safety glasses.

Remove any remaining sealant on oil pan upper section using e.g. a rotating plastic brush.

Clean sealing surfaces, must be free of oil and grease.

Cut tube nozzle at front marking (jet dia. approximately 3 mm).

Apply silicone sealant - arrows - to clean sealing surface upper oil pan section as shown in the illustration.
