Press the timing chain tensioning rail in direction of -  arrow 2 - and secure it with the Locking Pin (T40011 ).

-

Remove the camshaft timing chain from the cylinder head.

‹› The intake camshaft switches in the engine direction of rotation.

Remove the timing chain tensioning rail - 2 -.

-

Remove guide rail for the camshaft timing chain - 1 -. 

-

Remove timing chain.

Installing

‹› Tightening specifications. Refer to => [ Camshaft Timing Chain Assembly Overview ] See: Camshaft Timing Chain Assembly Overview. 

‹› The following must be performed in one sequence. A second technician is required for this.
