Turn the steering wheel 180° and repeat the procedure on the opposite side.

Bring the steering wheel back into the center (wheels are straight). 

CAUTION!
Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge
static electricity". This can be done by touching door striker, for example.

Remove the driver airbag from the steering wheel slightly.

-

Pull connector lock - 1 - as far as stop -  arrow -. This releases the electrical connector - 2 - and it can be removed.

Versions with Multi-function and Tiptronic steering wheel: Disconnect electrical harness connector - 3 -.

-

Remove the airbag - 4 -.

CAUTION!
Set the airbag down so the padding faces upward.
