Front Passenger Airbag Igniter 1 and 2

Removing

CAUTION!
‹› Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components Safety Precautions ] See:

‹› Follow the disposal regulations for pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Component Disposal ] See: Service

Precautions.

‹› Follow the allocation of the airbag unit to the instrument panel.

Switch the ignition on.

-

Disconnect the battery ground cable with the ignition switched on.

Remove glove compartment. Refer to => [ Glove Compartment ] See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument
Panel/Service and Repair/Storage Compartments and Covers. 

CAUTION!
Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge
static electricity". This can be done by touching door striker, for example.

Disconnect the ground connector - 5 -.

-

Disconnect the electrical connectors - 2 - for the front passenger airbag igniter 2 (N132) and -  6 - for the front passenger airbag igniter 1 (N131 ).

-

To do this, release the connector lock - 3 - using a small screwdriver - 1 - and remove the electrical connector -  3 -.
