Center Mounted Brake Lamp: Service and Repair

High-mount Brake Light, Removing And Installing

Removing

-

Remove upper tailgate trim.

-

Disconnect harness connector -6-.

-

Remove screw -4- (Phillips-head) from nut -1-.

-

Unhinge locating hook from sheet metal section and remove brake light.

-

Pry lens -3- from bulb carrier -2- to replace bulbs.

-

Bulbs -5- (10x) (12 V, 2.3 W) are attached to bulb carrier.

Installing

-

Install in reverse order of removal.
