Note:  The left and right-side suspension struts are identical parts.

Clamp shock absorber in VAG1752/2 spring mounting tool.

-

Align lower spring base and spring retainer in direction of shock absorber eye, as illustrated.

-

Install compressed coil spring.

-

End of spring coil must lie against stop on spring retainer (arrow).

-

Install protective cap, boot, boot mounting ring, auxiliary spring, ring, mounting ring and spacer tube.

-

Install upper spring base.

-

End of coil spring ("Federanfang" (spring beginning)) must lie against recess of upper spring base (arrow).
