WARNING!
Before working on the vehicle with the engine running, move the selector lover into the "P-position and apply the parking brake.

It must not be possible to operate the starter while the selector lever is in the "2," "3," "4," "D" or "R" position.

When moving at speeds above 5 km/h (3 mph) and shifting into Neutral ("N"), the shift lock solenoid must not engage and block the selector lever.
The selector lever can be shifted back into a drive position.

When moving at speeds below 2 km/h (almost stationary) and shifting into Neutral ("N"), the shift lock solenoid must engage after a delay of
about 1 second. The selector lever cannot be shifted out of the "N" position unless the brake pedal is depressed.

Brake pedal not depressed
The selector lever is locked and cannot be shifted out of the "P" position. The shift lock solenoid blocks the selector lever.

Brake pedal depressed
The shift lock solenoid releases the selector lever. It is now possible to move the selector lever into a drive position. Slowly move the selector lever
from the "P" position through the "R," "N," "D," "4," "3" and "2" positions and make sure that the display on the instrument cluster indicates the
correct selector lever position in each case.

Brake pedal not depressed
The selector lever is locked and cannot be shifted out of the "N" position. The shift lock solenoid blocks the selector lever.

Brake pedal depressed
The shift lock solenoid releases the selector lever. It is now possible to move the selector lever into a drive position.

Move selector lever into Tiptronic gate.

The illuminated "D" symbol should go out.

The "+" and "-" symbols should light up.
