Transmission Cooler: Service and Repair

ATF Lines and Oil Cooler, Cleaning 

Notes: 

-

Pay attention to notes in the "Removing and Installing ATF lines".

-

Always blow out oil cooler and oil lines with compressed air (max. 145 psi) before installing a replacement transmission.

WARNING! 
Wear eye protection. 

-

Remove bolts -item 14-, -item 15- and -item 1-.

-

Pull ATF lines -item 2- and -item 3- out of transmission.

-

Install hose onto oil line -item 2- and attach with hose clamp. Hold other end of hose in a suitable receptacle.

-

Use compressed air gun to inject compressed air several times into oil line -item 2-.

-

Switch over hose to oil line -item 3- and repeat procedure.

-

Attach oil line again. Tightening torques.
