Drive/Propeller Shaft: Service and Repair
Overview
CAUTION!

Do not bend the driveshaft. The maximum permissible bend angle is 25°. Bending further can cause universal joint damage.

Store and transport the driveshaft in the extended position only,
Notes:

Observe all general repair notes.

No repairs are necessary on the driveshaft except for removal/installation and adjustments.

If the driveshaft is separated from the transmission or the rear final drive, it must be secured to the CV joint.

Work on the drive shaft must be done on a hoist.
-
For complaints (noises, vibrations) it is absolutely necessary that before replacing driveshaft, check that an exact adjustment does not eliminate the
problem.

Remove protective film and bond self-adhesive side to flange shaft.
