^ After unlatching, the glove compartment cover opens slowly or doesn't open at all. The glove compartment door is then pulled open, and the hinges
can be broken.
^ The performance of the glove compartment latch is not affected by this condition.
Technical Background
Glove compartment cover brake element (damper) is faulty.
