Air Register: Testing and Inspection

Air Extraction Vent, Checking

Check ventilation channels to both ventilation frames -A- for throughput (left and right).
-

Sealing lips -B-in air extraction outlets -A- must move freely and close by themselves.

Plugged channel may cause window to fog up

NOTE:

In this illustration the air extraction frame is shown on a sedan with the rear bumper removed. Avant models have an air extraction frame with a
different construction installed.

For the forced ventilation two ventilation frames are installed (left and right)

In order for the passenger compartment ventilation to function properly, the vent openings in the luggage compartment trim must not be closed.
