Service Reminder Indicator (SRI), Inspection Service (Fixed Interval), Resetting

Resetting service display using:

Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051  See: Resetting Service Display (VAS 5051)

Display:
- Press buttons -1- and -0- and confirm input with -Q- button.

Display:
- Confirm entry with -Q- button.

Indicated on display:
- Press buttons -0- and -2-.
- Confirm entry with -Q- button.

Note:

The purpose of the service display is to remind the driver that a service is due. The indication given on the central display.

The service reminder appears 1 month or 1200 miles before reaching the service limit. The reminder is given in units of 100 miles.
Example of a display: After a total distance of 9200 miles "SERVICE IN 800 miles" is displayed.

The remaining distance to the service can be queried via the menu on the central display pressing the button -1- once.

When a service has been carried out, the text information appears on the central display for 5 sec. when the ignition is switched on. It
appears after the note on the automatic transmission, and a possible destination entry in the navigation system. Display: "SERVICE!".

Indicated on display: The service situation is displayed

1 - signifies service is active, i.e. "SERVICE" is displayed in dash panel.

Note:

The service indication is only to be reset by way of direct input
