Adjusting gauge for locking cable 3352 A

Protective glasses

Preliminary work 

Note:  The following described procedure saves the work of removing center console.

-

Cut through adjusting gauge 3352 A at rear end of flat area -arrow using a parting grinder.

WARNING:  Wear protective glasses. 

-

Order a new adjusting gauge for locking cable 3352 A as replacement for later use.

Procedure 
-

Remove center console trim.

Note:  Selector lever knob and cover can remain installed.

Remove ashtray in center console:

Adjustment requirements:

Locking cable in installation position

^

Selector lever in position P.

^

Ignition key in removal position.
