Note:  Repair rim offset 6.5 mm if employing used drive flange.

Slightly oil circumference of oil seal.

-

Drive in new oil seal for right drive flange 5.5 mm below surface of housing, taking care not to tilt it.

-

Fill space between sealing lip and dust lip with sealing grease G 052 128 Al.

Drive in new oil seal for left drive flange 5.5 mm below surface of cover, taking care not to tilt it.

Drive in drive flange using mandrel VW 295.

-

Screw drive axle to drive flange.

-

Screw on cover plates for drive axle, if installed.

-

Checking oil level in manual transmission.
