If both remote transmitter keys are Part No: 8E0 837 220A or 8E0 837 220F, replace both remote transmitter keys with replacement kit, Part
No: 8E0 898 998E INB (includes 2 keys).

If only one key has Part No: 8E0 837 220A or 8E0 837 220F, replace remote transmitter key with Part No: 8E0 837 220R INB (individual
key).

If none of the remote transmitter keys have part numbers as listed above, no further action is required.
Matching remote transmitter keys:
1.
Match the new key(s) to the Immobilizer using procedure in Guided Functions on the VAS 5051 or 5052.
2.
Match the new key(s) to the Central Locking System using procedure in Guided Functions on the VAS 5051 or 5052.
3.
Destroy the old keys.
Destroying old remote transmitter keys:
After replacement, all old keys must be destroyed and returned to the customer. Perform the following:
1.
Saw off the original key blades of the remote control keys that have been replaced.
2.
Destroy key housings with a hammer.
