Affected Vehicles

Condition

When the vehicle is started, Navigation plus (RNS-E) route guidance activates on its own. During a previous ignition cycle the guidance had been
cancelled or successfully completed, and therefore should remain inactive.

Technical Background

The Navigation plus internal memory flag for a completed route guidance is inadvertently erased.

Production Solution

Updated software, version 0150, beginning with November 2006 vehicle production.

Service

Perform software update using Version 2007 (or newer) Navigation plus DVD.

Note:

The software download takes approximately 5 minutes to complete and consists of two parts. Do not remove the DVD prior to completion.
