Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Front Wheel Speed Sensor, Removing and Installing

Front axle speed sensor, removing and installing 

Removing 

-

Loosen wheel bolts.

-

Raise vehicle.

-

Remove wheel.

-

Unclip speed sensor wiring from retainers - 1 -.

-

Unclip speed sensor wiring from retainers - 1 -.

-

Detach speed sensor connector - 2 -.

-

Unclip speed sensor wiring from retainers - 2 -.

-

Release grommet - 1 - in wheel housing.

-

Pull ABS speed sensor from wheel bearing housing.

-

Disconnect connector.

Installing 

-

Before installing speed sensor, install sealing collar and coat speed sensor all round with lubricating paste G 000 650.

-

Install ABS speed sensor.

-

Clip speed sensor wiring into retainers and install grommet in wheel housing.

Install wheels.
