Thermostat: Service and Repair
Coolant Thermostat, Removing and Installing

Coolant thermostat, removing and installing 

Removing 

-

Remove front engine cover - arrows -.

-

Remove bolts - arrows -.

-

Remove air duct - 1 - and - 2 -.

-

Drain coolant.

-

Remove front bumper cover.

-

Bring lock carrier into service position.

-

Remove upper part of intake manifold.

-

Remove front coolant pipe.

Note:  Place a rag beneath to catch escaping coolant.

-

Remove bolts - arrows -.

-

Remove thermostat with connecting piece.

Installing 
Installation is in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Note:  Replace seals.
