Engine Oil: Removal and Replacement

Engine Oil, Draining, Replacing Filter

WARNING! Oil extraction not permitted with various engine types!

Note:

Perform oil change at operating temperature.

Special tools and workshop equipment required

-

Hazet tension band -2171-1- or Oil filter wrench -3417-

-

Oil extractor -VAG 1782-

-

Oil Drain Adapter -T 40057- (2.0 TFSI)

Observe waste disposal regulations!

3.2 FSI

Note:

-

Loosen the cap before draining / extracting, so that the engine oil can run out of the oil filter housing.

-

Remove coolant reservoir - 1- and lay aside.

-

Remove oil filter cover with -SW 36- -2-.

-

Clean sealing surfaces oil filter cover and at oil filter housing.

-

Replace oil filter insert.
