Tighten bolts as follows:

-

Insert bolts - arrows - with locking compound and tighten to 5 Nm. 

-

Tighten bolts - 1 to 9 - in diagonal sequence to 10 Nm.

Tighten bolts - arrows - to 10 Nm. 

-

Tighten bolts - 7 -, - 8 - and - 9 - to 22 Nm.

-

Tighten stud bolt - 3 - to 16 Nm.

Further installation is in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-

Install oil filter housing.

-

Install left and right timing chain covers.

-

Install crankshaft seal, timing chain side.

-

Vehicles with manual transmission: Install dual mass flywheel.

-

Vehicles with automatic transmission: Install drive plate.

-

Install transmission.

-

Add engine oil and check oil level.
