Disconnect connector - 1 -.

Carefully release catch - arrows -and pull return spring with slip ring from steering column switches.
Installing:
Installation is reverse of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

Ensure all catches and the connection engage cleanly.

When installing, guide upper trim into lower trim hooks, press both parts together and bolt.
NOTE:
-
heels must be in straight-ahead position when removing or installing return spring with slip ring.

Return spring with slip ring is secured as a new part in center position with a cable tie or shear ring.
-
On vehicles with ESP sensor in return spring with slip ring, ESP sensor must be adapted.
