Secure steering column to prevent the two sections from pulling apart, Securing steering column prior to removal.

Make sure boot is properly positioned in bulkhead.

Clamp off suction and return lines with hose clamps 3094.

Remove front wheels.

Detach bolt connection between suspension strut and track control link (only on left side of vehicle).

-

Place suspension strut - 1 - in front of track control link - 2 - as seen in direction of travel.

-

Loosen nut - 1 -, remove hex bolt and pull out both upper links - 2 - upward (only on left side of vehicle).
The slots in the wheel bearing housing must not be widened using a chisel or similar.

Remove hex bolt - 3 - and remove bolt connection - 4 -.

-

Pull or press tie rod out of steering arm downward.
