A4 Quattro Wagon V6-3.2L (BKH) (2005)

Loosen hex nut - 3 - and remove tie rod ball joint. Hex flats - 4 - serve to counterhold tie rod.

Remove all grease from tie rod ball joint and clamping hole in wheel bearing housing.
Installing
Installation is carried out in reverse sequence. Note the following:

Screw tie rod ball joint onto stop.

Tighten lock nut - 3 - using socket V.A.G 1332/12. Counterhold tie rod at hex flats - 4 - when tightening nut.

Align tie rod so that the stub of the tie rod joint is in installation position.

Insert tie rod as far as possible in steering arm.
Note:

Install tie rod into Steering arm - 1 - by hand, do not apply pressure to seal - 2 - on tie rod joint.
