Pull or press out tie rod downward.

Remove nut from guide link joint pin until it is flush with end of thread. Counterhold joint pin with 4 mm Allen key if necessary.

Press guide link joint pin out of tapered seat using ball joint puller T40010.

Note:

Do not damage boot in the process.

Make sure the two lever arms of the puller are parallel to one another when maximum force is exerted.

On vehicles with headlight range control, detach coupling rod from self-leveling sensor from track control link.

-

Remove nut on track control link joint pin until it is flush with end of thread. Counterhold joint pin with 4 mm Allen key if necessary.

Press track control arm joint pin out of tapered seat using ball joint puller T40010.

Note:

Make sure the two lever arms of the puller are parallel when maximum force is exerted.

Remove nut - 1 - and hex bolt and pull out both upper links - 2 - upward.
Never widen slots in wheel bearing housing using a chisel or the like.

-

Swing wheel bearing housing aside in direction of arrow, and at the same time pull end of drive axle out of wheel hub.

-

Fasten drive axle to body with wire or similar.

-

Remove nut from track control link joint pin.

-

Remove wheel bearing housing.

Installing

-

Install wheel bearing housing.
