Shift Interlock Cable: Adjustments

Locking cable, adjusting, 09L, 6 Spd. A/T AWD

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Adjustment pin for shift lock 3 3352 A

Angle grinder

^

Safety goggles

Preparation

Note:

If the procedure described below is followed the center console does not have to be removed.

Using an angle grinder or similar, cut off Adjustment pin for shift lock 3 3352 A at rear end of flat section - arrow

CAUTION:  Wear safety goggles.

-

Order a new Adjustment pin for shift lock 3 3352 A as a replacement for subsequent use.

Requirements for adjustment

Locking cable must be in installation position.

^

Selector lever is in position "P".

^

Ignition key is in removal position.

Procedure

-

Remove trim panel from center console.

Note:  
^

The selector lever handle and cover can remain installed.

-

Remove ashtray from center console.
