Remove universal support V.A.G 1359/2 from engine/transmission jack V.A.G 1383 A.

-

Place telescopic arm of engine/transmission jack V.A.G 1383 A centrally below cast lug on transmission housing - arrow and support transmission
from below.

-

Remove bolts - 2 - and - 3 - and then subframe securing bolts - 1 - and - 4 -.

-

Slowly lower transmission and subframe using engine/transmission jack V.A.G 1383 A until distance - a - is as specified.

Dimension - a - = 50 mm

-

Pry ball socket - 1 - of selector lever cable off selector shaft lever.

-

Remove support bracket from transmission - arrows -.

Note:

Shown in illustration with transmission support removed.

Do not bend or kink the selector lever cable.
