Front Cross-Member: Service and Repair
Replacement

NOTE:

CAUTION:  Do not jack up car at the subframe.

REMOVAL 

1. Attach engine lift.
2. Remove wheels.
3. Remove undertray.

4. Before loosening subframe use mandrel tool No. 3393 or equivalent, to check whether holes -1- and -2- align on both sides.

If not, a wheel alignment must be carried out after repair.

5. Remove suspension strut hex bolt -5- at support link.
6. Remove ribbed nuts -3- and -4-; remove coupling.
7. Loosen support link hex nut -2- at subframe and take out bolt + washer.
8. Loosen guide link bolt + washer -1- at subframe.
