c. Connect the oil lines from the external oil filter assembly to oil filter adapter.

d. Insert a new oil filter element on the canister of the external oil filter assembly.

e. Partially fill (approximately 1 quart) the canister of the external oil filter assembly with the engine cleaner. Do not overfill.

f. Attach the filled canister to the external oil filter assembly and tighten securely.
