Fuel Gauge Sender: Vehicle Damage Warnings

When working on the fuel supply/injection system, the following rules of cleanliness must be carefully noted:

Thoroughly clean connecting points and surrounding area before loosening.

Place the removed parts on a clean surface and cover over with lint-free cloths!

Carefully cover or close components that have been opened if repair will not be done immediately.

Only install clean parts:
Only take replacement parts out of packaging just before install.
Do not use any parts that have been removed from their packaging (e.g. in tool boxes, etc.).

When the fuel supply system is open:
Do not use compressed air unless absolutely necessary.
Do not move the vehicle, if possible.
