Apply an even, light sealant bead (D 188 800 A1) in the clean groove of bearing bracket. Spread sealant evenly on sealing surface.
Note:

The sealant must not be applied too thickly. Wipe off excess sealant with a lint-free rag, if necessary.

Placing the bearing bracket in place and tightening it should occur without interruption, since the sealant begins to harden immediately when
the sealing surfaces come into contact.

Note the expiration date of the sealing compound.

Set bearing bracket in place so that it can get by the EGR Vacuum Regulator Solenoid Valve N18 - arrow -.

Fasten bolts in multiple stages, from inside to outside.

Then tighten bolts in shown sequence to 8 Nm.

Drive in sealing cap using thrust piece 3202 approximately 1 to 2 mm deep.

Install camshaft seal

Install rear toothed belt cover.
-
Insert fitted key into camshaft.
