Lightly move knurled screw back and forth, causing the valve keepers to be pressed apart and be captured in the installation cartridge.

Release pressure fork VAS 5161/2.

Remove installation cartridge VAS 5161/8.

Pull off valve stem seals using valve stem removal tool 3364.

If valve seal removal tool 3364 cannot be used due to restricted clearance, drive roll pin - arrow - out with a drift and remove the impact
attachment.

Place lower part of valve seal removal tool 3364 onto valve stem seal.

Insert a drift - 1 - into hole in lower part of removal tool.

Place a lever at removal tool and pull out valve stem seal - arrow -.
