Transmission Control Module (TCM) J217 , removing and installing - 01J, Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT)

Observe general repair notes.

Refer to Rules of cleanliness for working on automatic transmissions.

Removing

The Transmission Control Module (TCM) J217 can be removed with transmission installed.

Remove end cover.

-

Remove bolts -arrows- and pull out Transmission Control Module (TCM) J217 without tilting it.

-

Remove twin lip oil seal -A- from Transmission Control Module (TCM) J217.

Note:

When positioning Transmission Control Module (TCM) J217 , ensure sensor on control module is not damaged.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, note the following:

Replace gaskets and O-rings.

If necessary, clean sensors -A- , -C- and -D- of soiling and metal shavings.

Clean selector shaft.
