Cut wire and attach a new .5 mm brown wire approx. 12 ft long to wire from sender. Solder and install heat shrink on this connection (use only rosin
core solder).

Remove drivers side sill molding.

Carefully route the new .5 mm brown wire (see heavy dotted line) along existing harness to driver's side of vehicle, forward along carpet edge to the
mass ground lug under left side of dash (see illustration 97-A463).

Solder an 8 mm eyelet connector to the end of the new ground wire and attach it to the ground lug on A-post (use only rosin core solder).

Reinstall drivers side sill molding.

Reinstall rear seat.

-

Reconnect battery ground strap (GND).
