Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Description and Operation

OPERATION:

The V6 operates with an Idle Air Control Valve. It reduces idle fluctuations and permits a stable idle. Motor management controls the opening cross
section by activating the Idle Air Control Valve and thereby the required idle air quantity.

Idle Air Control Valve -N71-:

The Idle Air Control valve is flanged onto the intake manifold and functions as a variable bypass to the throttle.
If the valve has no current, it opens to emergency cross section, it opens to emergency cross section. The warm engine then runs at slightly higher
rpm.
