Wheel Bearing: Adjustments

ADJUSTING WHEEL BEARING PLAY

Wheel bearing play is correctly adjusted if it is still possible to move the thrust washer with the screwdriver by applying finger pressure (on no
account attempt to pry on the thrust washer).

To re-tighten, tighten hex nut while turning wheel in order to avoid bearing being stressed. Then, secure with slotted locking ring and new cotter
pin.
