Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque wrench (V.A.G 1331)

‹› Piston resetting tool (T10145)

Removing

‹› If reusing the brake pads, mark the location. Install in same position when installing otherwise uneven braking will occur!

Remove the wheels and tires.

-

Secure the brake disc with a wheel bolt.

-

Disconnect the connector - 1 - for the brake pad wear indicator.

-

Lift the fixing latch somewhat on the lower part of the connector -  2 - and turn 90 degrees.

-

Pull the lower part of the connector from the holder.

-

Drive out the brake pad retaining pins - arrows -.
