Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Impact puller (T10133/3) from tool set (T10133)

‹› Locking pin (T40069)

‹› Camshaft locator (T40070) (qty. 2)

‹› Securing pins 1 set = qty. 2 (T40116)

‹› Hand drill with plastic brush attachment

‹› Protective glasses

‹› Sealant

Removing

-

Remove cylinder head cover. Refer to: Left => [ Left Cylinder Head Cover ] See: Cylinder Head Assembly/Valve Cover/Service and Repair/Left
Cylinder Head Cover, right => [ Right Cylinder Head Cover ] See: Cylinder Head Assembly/Valve Cover/Service and Repair/Right Cylinder Head
Cover.

Remove left and right timing chain covers. Refer to => [ Left and Right Timing Chain Covers ] See: Timing Components/Timing Cover/Service
and Repair/Left and Right Timing Chain Covers.

Remove camshaft timing chains from camshafts. Refer to => [ Camshaft Timing Chains ] See: Timing Components/Timing Chain/Service and
Repair/Camshaft Timing Chains.

To remove right camshafts, the vacuum pump for brake booster must be removed. Refer to => [ Brake Booster Vacuum Pump ] See: Brakes and
Traction Control/Power Brake Assist/Vacuum Pump/Service and Repair/Brake Booster Vacuum Pump.

Loosen guide frame bolts in sequence - 22 to 1 -.
